Alan C. Brawn is a principal of Brawn Consulting an audio visual and digital signage consulting, educational development, and market intelligence firm with national exposure to major manufacturers, distributors, and integrators.

Brawn was previously president of Telanetix and National Business Development and Product Marketing Director, Samsung Electronics. Brawn is an AV industry veteran with experience spanning 3 decades and he was one of the founding members of Hughes-JVC. He is a recognized author for leading AV industry magazines such as Systems Contractor News, Digital Signage Magazine, and AV Technology. Brawn is a member of the Imaging Science Foundation and Managing Director of ISF Commercial. Alan is CTS certified and a senior faculty member of InfoComm and was moderator of the ANSI Projected Images Task Group creating a new contrast standard for the industry. He is a member of the International Commission on Display Metrology for the Society of Information Display. Brawn is a Director of the Digital Signage Experts Group certifying professionals in the digital signage industry and the past chairman of the Digital Signage Federation. He was awarded the coveted InfoComm Volunteer of the Year Award for 2011 and Hall of Fame recognition from rAVe in 2004.



Jonathan Brawn is a principal of Brawn Consulting an audio visual and digital signage consulting, educational development, and market intelligence firm with national exposure to major manufacturers, distributors, and integrators.

Prior to this, Jonathan was Director of Technical Services for Visual Appliances, an Aliso Viejo CA based firm that manufactures ZeroBurn plasma display technology, and successfully ran his own integration group, Brawn & Associates, serving the residential and commercial audiovisual markets. Jonathan literally grew up in the AV industry, with over 20 years of experience in technology, design, and educational development. Starting with Hughes Aircraft and then Hughes-JVC in the early 90’s, Jonathan worked alongside his father Alan in creating and building training programs for technical, sales, and marketing development. Jonathan has extensive experience in AV systems design and integration, as well as expertise in the development of educational development programs. Jonathan holds CTS certification and is a senior faculty member at InfoComm.

Jonathan was honored to receive the InfoComm 2012 Young AV Professional award. Jonathan sat on the InfoComm PISCR (Projected Image System Contrast Ratio) task group, helping develop the industry ANSI standard for system contrast, and currently is part of the task group on Display Image Size (DISCAS). Jonathan currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Digital Signage Expo, and works as a volunteer to help create the educational curriculum for the Expo. He is a founding director of ISF Commercial, a display calibration and certification standards body, and a founding member of The Digital Signage Experts Group. He provides articles for industry publications including Systems Contractor News, Sound and Video Contractor, and The Digital Signage Magazine.


Carlos Bages Riva

Carlos Bages Riva, was born in Paris in 1952. His parents both Spanish joined France after the Spanish civil war. He covered all his studies in France, closing this period by an electromechanical engineering degree and decided to work in the Telecommunication industry in Ericsson. After three years experience he got a degree from Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers in Paris (night classes) and upgraded his professional situation. Carlos is also graduated from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris and IESE (Spain).

Hired by service companies like CAP Gemini and then Atos, he kicked off his professional experience in the computer service market. During this period he got married and had a daughter. He always been sharing a double culture French and Spanish. He worked for France Telecom group, working on European projects (Esprit, Race…). Then he decided to work in the prestigious Amadeus Company located in Germany (Munich). In 1992, Carlos got a special offer coming from BT group to participate into their European development, commuting between London & Paris. Spain has been always attractive for Carlos and in 2000, France Telecom offered him to manage its Catalonian Telecom subsidiary as CEO. From 2003 as of today, Carlos started his own company to work in both Telecommunication and Digital Signage. Working on projects for several companies as consultant. Carlos covered different roles in the industry from Engineer till CEO.

Carlos developed a DS / DOOH methodology “Agile4com”, based on the Agile recommendations and ITIL ISO standard. This method is for the Digital Signage Integration from pre-project phase till post-project and allows committing on delivery in quality and budget.
